Mouldings can be added to the inside or outside of your home. If your house is more traditional or even in the country theme, you can accentuate the look with decorative mouldings, pillars or dentelles (lace). This range of items (accessories) will add beauty and definition to your home.

When adding decorative mouldings it is best to have them in one of the following two suggestions:

1. If your walls are of light color the recommended trim color would be best if it were of a dark color. This will add stamina to your home and also make a statement of quality and class
2. If your walls are of a medium or dark color it is then recommended to go with a white, off white or very pale gray color. Again this will give your room the soft look of excellence.

Suggestion: If you would like to make your room like it has a very high ceiling, you can add a chair rail to the wall about 3/4 way up from the floor. Then paint the bottom of your wall a medium to dark color, the top above the chair rail a light color and finally your chair rail white or off white. This will actually make your room appear higher and wider.

Add a touch of elegance to any room in your home, with any ceiling medallion. In addition to decorative mouldings and accent pieces, medallions will add the final touch of class which is needed.

Ceiling medallions are very easy to install and decorate. Installation of these medallions are as easy as
1-2-3. Start with paintable super latex caulking as an adhesive to the back of the medallions and stick it where you want it on the ceiling, then use trim head screws.
Pre drilling is not necessary. Next use a wet cloth to remove excess caulking and blend the edge. Use non-shrinking filler to fill in screw holes and head, sand the filler with
fine sand paper and paint. Voila, its installed !

Suggestion: For an exquisite looking ceiling medallion use a technic which is called dry brushing.

To apply this technic paint the medallion the same color as the ceiling. When it is dry use any size paint brush and just wet the tip of the bristles in the paint and wipe off with a cloth or rag leaving very little paint on the bristles, then rub the ceiling medallion with the dry brush color.

This will leave the bottom of your medallion white in color, and silty colored edges on the top. It is always best to use your wall color for your application of dry brushing. This will give the room and ceiling an added elegant touch of class.
